Hot Weather Shipping Policy

Heat: You want it in your coffee, sauna, and yoga, but definitely not in the case of Napa Cab en route to your home. Extreme temperatures can sabotage a wine’s quality quicker than almost anything else, so we’ve taken every precaution to ensure your bottles arrive in pristine condition.

We monitor weather patterns to ensure no bottle has to sit in sweltering heat, and we’ve developed software to look at temperatures along all delivery routes. Plus, we’ve transitioned to our Perfect Temperature Packaging, which uses cold packs and styrofoam to help keep your wine safe, even in summer heat. 

In short, we leave nothing up to chance.

At checkout, you can now customize your shipping options to get your wine delivered when and how you want it. After choosing a shipping date, you’ve got two options:

Ship on the Date I Selected: We will ship your wine regardless of temperature. Please note: with this option, you assume responsibility for any weather-related effects on your wine.

Ship When the Weather Is Safest: We will contact you if we recommend changing your delivery date to protect your wine.

With either option, you can choose to receive your shipments in our standard cardboard packaging or, when temperature demands, our Perfect Temperature Packaging.

A missed delivery means extra time on the delivery truck, which may adversely affect your wine, so please call or email our member services team—or visit your account profile center—if you need to change your delivery date or shipping address.
